Web Design and Development for E-Commerce and Business Website

Dive With Us is a PADI dive shop in Frankfurt. They offer dive equipment online, are a PADI licensed dive center and function as a travel agency for scuba diving holidays.

  • Responsibilities

    A complete re-design of their website and the implementation of their online shop in combination with a strong focus on UX design. The client wished to keep their logos and to build a stronger CI through the new website. I also created a basic SEO strategy for them which helped them to increase their original ranking. The main challenge was to create a fun site which combines picture-heavy contents with a wide variety of product offers. I chose WordPress because the client wished to be able to fill and change the shop contents themselves.

    In the second step we designed and built an online store from the scratch using WooCommerce. We also integrated a shop-management system to keep track of their 4000+ products. I was responsible for every step including planning, designing and developing.

    I was responsible for a re-branding which included the creation of a new Logo, some Print and Company Designs (Power Point branding, business cards, etc) as well as designing and programming a new website. Here, it was important to cater for a relatively broad target group and to create a simple UX Flow. The final Website was then hard-coded by me in HTML, CSS and JS.

    We still work together. I am now trusted to integrate their design tool seamlessly into their clients websites and applications using whatever framework or CMS their clients are using.

BWHW is an educational institution in Germany. Government and EU funded it is involved in a lot of projects targeted at young adults. MINT.ice is a project for promoting “MINT” (= maths, IT, natural science, engineering) -jobs in Germany.

    Creating a new brand inlcuding an informative website, a Logo, Print Designs like brochures, posters and roll-ups, and a social media presence. The Site had to be able to handle a lot of text while still remaining clear and easy to navigate. The design had to be appropriate for the target group yet clearly connected to other MINT-Projects in Germany. The client wished to be able to change contents on the site themselves which is why we had chosen to use WordPress in combination with a pagebuilder.

    For BMC I got hired to analyse their existing web appearance and Logo and create a new look and feel for their brand. This included creating a new Logo for their German and Austrian Brand, designing print materials as well as designing and developing both their websites.
    I also designed and implemented an online-application system into their websites.
    BMC stands for professional, upper market consulting. So it was important to them to be able to communicate that through their new appearance.
