Stop-Motion Game made of Plasticine
HW is based on Franz Kafka´s “The Castle”. Within the narrative I was exploring the possibilities of implementing absurdity in Game Design. This was rather challenging since the feeling of completing “absurd tasks” is rather contradictory with what we call a successful and engaging game design. Especially challenging was to build a non-linear narrative so that this game has several different outcomes.
The aim was to explore stop-motion as a tool for interactive story-telling.
The game assets are hand-made out of clay and plasticine to communicate the quirky and unusual way of Kafka´s writing.
